Show Day

Canonbie Flower Show/Vintage show is on the 3rd Saturday in August. Vintage Motors and Vintage Tractors come to the show from all over the parish and beyond. All the motors and tractors do a parade through Canonbie and down to the playing Field, this usually happens at 2.00pm on show day. Apart from the vintage motors and tractors there is also lots of stall, lots of things to do for the kids i.e. it's a knockout! There is also a large tent full of vegetables and a judge to pick the best on. In the Public Hall there is more judging taking place, the judges and judging things the kids have made and what the adults have made like photographs, walking sticks, paintings etc. On Flower show night there is usually a dance part disco which al the locals go to. There is also events which don't happen on flower show day like the duck race, the 6-a -sides and the pet show, these usually happen in the weeks following up to the Flower Show. So come along to the next Flower Show which is on the 22nd of August, Your guaranteed to have a good time!!

Show Day Attractions:

  A varied and interesting range of Pot Plants, Cut Flowers, Vegetable’s,Garden Display’s, Baking, Industrial Work, Children’s Section, Art and Photography Section.

  Fancy Dress Competition

  Meet at the Cross Key’s Hotel, adjacent to the bus stop

  Open to all ages – including young at heart

  Judging on the field at 1 p.m.

  Large and varied Vintage Display

  Trucks, Cars, Motorcycle’s, Agricultural Vehicle’s

  A Large selection of Tractors.

  World Wide Balloon Race and prize for furthest travelled.

  Penny pitching

  Side shows and tea’s

  Lazer Maze and other entertainment for children of all ages.
